Triple finely cut leaves of this frisée type are a staple ingredient of a fancy salad mix. It adds texture and scrunch, and a bitter flavor that just screams highfalutin. Plants can be spaced 6-8” apart to produce small dense heads with blanched hearts.
You can harvest this vegetable in the Fall at the same time as Brussels Sprouts and use them together to make a classically autumn dish that is ultra-high in nutrients.
